Milan Design Week 2024 will see the presentation of the limited edition capsule collection created by Adrenalina, a mini-collection of seats upholstered with the transposition onto fabric of the works of Ilaria Milandri and Jessica Di Vito, the duo Le Clochart.
An important appointment for the two creatives, both with different personal experiences in the art world and who have decided to collaborate since 2020.
“We decided to call ourselves Le Clochart because we are nomads inside and nothing helps us more than art to travel, to go beyond, to unhinge, to be in the here and now. We would also like those who look at our works to feel the freedom to feed themselves, to allow themselves, to dare.”
Their works come to life on paper, canvases, walls, with acrylic markers or tempera through a spontaneous creative process, where drawing and colour mix to create intricate shapes and details, faces, animals, interior and exterior spaces, impossible. Their unmistakable stroke, characterised by the generous use of colour, is then transposed onto fabrics, paintings, objects, clothing, all in limited series.
Adrenalina ‘s strong propensity for experimentation, which has always pushed the brand towards connections and creative synergies with expressive worlds parallel to design, has led to this collaboration.
Some of the armchair models in the catalogue have been upholstered with their canvases inspired by the works of famous artists, skilfully reinterpreted from a Le Clochart creative perspective.
The Hammock armchair, designed by Debonademeo, is characterised by its minimalist and irregular lines, and holds a Modigliani in the bold and strong colour interpretation typical of the two artists.
The Boll armchair by designer Simone Micheli, on the other hand, houses a reinterpretation of Botticelli’s Venus or Michelangelo’s David. The designs reinterpreted by Le Clochart have been faithfully transferred onto fabric and cover the rounded shapes of the seat that adds to its original function that of a work of art capable of animating any environment.
