The studio Pierattelli Architetture has completed the renovation of a residence overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Como, transforming a four-level apartment into an intimate and refined home. The spaces have been redesigned to combine everyday comfort with the atmosphere of a holiday retreat, through an architectural language that is measured, elegant, and timeless.
The apartment, covering 300 square meters across multiple floors, preserves its original layout while redefining the overall quality of living. The objective shared with the clients was to restore a sense of harmony and simplicity, enhancing natural light and ensuring continuity between interior and exterior spaces.
At the heart of the project is the living area, open to the lake through a full-height folding Secco Sistemi window that extends the domestic space toward the external loggia. The terrace, made of iroko wood, features a swimming pool, barbecue area, lounge seating, and Mediterranean greenery, becoming a domestic oasis suspended between architecture and landscape.
Inside, a bespoke approach prevails: honey oak boiserie, custom-made furnishings, and a tailored kitchen in natural brass with Luce di Carrara white arabesque marble countertops. The layout is spread over four levels: on the ground floor, a fully equipped gym with Technogym machines; on the first floor, the living area with kitchen, dining room, and a guest bedroom; on the third floor, the master suite with travertine bathroom and a second guest room; on the top floor, a cigar room overlooking the terrace, furnished with Cassina armchairs upholstered in Dedar fabrics, wooden blinds, and a bar with integrated hi-fi within the bookcase.
The interiors host carefully selected artworks, ranging from established names to emerging talents, alongside pieces from leading Italian design brands.
