Lake view Villa

Architecture studio Archventil has restored a historic 400-square-meter villa to its former splendor, nestled in the hills overlooking Lake Garda. This bespoke intervention weaves together the villa’s original architectural identity with a contemporary sensibility. Spread across three levels, the holiday home accommodates a family with two children and stands out for its refined balance between local heritage and cosmopolitan lifestyle.

The use of ”pastellone” — a seamless, textural material — extends across much of the house: from the floors to the bathroom walls and even the indoor pool, creating a unique sense of visual continuity and tactile appeal. Exposed beams, finished with sand-colored lime paint, lighten and brighten the interiors, enhancing a chromatic thread that runs through the entire home.

The fully redesigned kitchen becomes the beating heart of the house: a spacious, convivial environment centered around a large island. Wellness spaces include a yoga room, a custom walk-in closet, and a personalized home cinema. The sleeping area features a master suite with a headboard designed by Archventil, while the children’s bedrooms are personalized with color schemes and details, including blue and pink accents in their respective bathrooms.

Crafted in collaboration with local artisans, the project emphasizes the dialogue between existing elements and new additions. Every detail tells a story of respect, transformation, and meticulous attention. This renovation demonstrates how contemporary living can be deeply rooted in history without compromising on innovation.
