ITALAMP has been reinterpreting light with high-end solutions for home and contract environments since 1975, bringing its expertise and Italian craftsmanship through its design products. A clear example of this is the prestigious residential project in Casablanca, Morocco, where the brand recently intervened.
The two-storey villa bears the signature of architect Mouna Bennai, who chose ITALAMP as an expression of Italian lighting design excellence. The residence represents a perfect balance between modernity and the essence of Middle Eastern architecture. If the exterior is characterised by geometric lines and a minimalist style, the interiors reveal sophisticated Moorish-style details: imposing heights, elaborate decorations and refined tones evoke the Arab tradition. Among the most distinctive spaces are a prayer room, spacious living areas for welcoming guests, ceilings with jali inlays and traditional majlis.
The lighting by ITALAMP enhances the combination of tradition and contemporaneity, giving the rooms a majestic and evocative atmosphere. Already in the outdoor area, the FATA MORGANA wall sconces – design Edward Van Vliet – recall traditional lanterns with light gold finishes and carved crystal diffusers, offering a soft and enveloping light.
The main entrance welcomes guests with the scenic KALEIDO REVA suspension, a luminous cascade evoking suspended drops, giving dynamism and depth to the space. The same composition, in different finishes, illuminates the staircase leading to the upper floor, enhancing the architecture.
In the corridor, a series of custom DOTTO wall lights, made of metal with a gold finish and a decorative crystal detail, mark the path. In the living area on the ground floor, light becomes the protagonist with KALEIDO SELLA, a refined composition that combines lightness and movement thanks to its thin striped glass leaves, handcrafted in transparent, acid-etched, teak and amber finishes.
ITALAMP’s crystal chandeliers, a symbol of classic Italian design, create a fascinating contrast with the style of the interior. CHANEL – design Roberta Vitadello and Stefano Traverso – is an imposing hand-carved clear crystal pendant lamp, equipped with 40 lights and anthracite fabric lampshades, which embellish the room with a sophisticated allure. The same creation is present in a wall light version next to the carved wooden door.
In the majlis, the absolute star is DOGMA – design Italamp Studio – an elegant crystal and carved glass pendant with a gilded metal frame and pendants decorated with floral glass details. To ensure optimal lighting, ITALAMP has created custom-made wall lights inspired by the ADRIA and CROWNS collections.
One of the most fascinating rooms is the prayer room, a space embellished with precious materials such as gold, marble and carved wood, where MARGOT – design Roberta Vitadello – elegantly fits in. This crystal and art glass chandelier, with taupe fabric lampshades, creates a warm and enveloping atmosphere.
With its consolidated experience and ability to reinterpret light with innovative solutions, ITALAMP confirms its leading role in the international lighting design scene, bringing the charm of Italian craftsmanship to projects of the highest level.
