ITALAMP presents CLIP: a balance of materials and design

To mark Milan Design Week 2026, ITALAMP unveils the new CLIP pendant light, designed by Pio&Tito Toso, expanding a collection that had already proved successful in its wall-mounted version. The company, a leading name in high-end decorative lighting for over half a century, presents a design that interprets light as a material and narrative element, capable of defining a space with elegance and character.

The new pendant lamp emerges from a dialogue between glass and metal, two materials that come together in a measured and poetic balance. “The glass embraces the metal without dominating it, touching it like hands that hold the weight of beauty,” say the designers, “the metal, firm and patient, allows itself to be traversed.”
The glass, light and enveloping, filters the light and diffuses it with soft reflections, whilst the metal introduces a more decisive, structural presence, without being overpowering. The result is a composition that plays on contrasts and harmonies, transforming the luminaire into a distinctive feature within the space.

Available with a thermoformed glass diffuser in two sizes and offered in brown, grey and amethyst finishes, CLIP offers two lighting modes for different lighting requirements: the pendant light is equipped with both a pair of downward-facing LED spotlights, providing focused, functional lighting, and a pair of LED strips on the metal bars, which can also be switched on separately. The light thus creates a cosy, defined space, ideal for enhancing social moments and domestic or professional settings.

Thanks to its versatile design, this pendant light blends seamlessly into a variety of settings, from contemporary homes to commercial and hospitality spaces, complementing both minimalist architecture and more expressive interiors. With CLIP, ITALAMP continues its design journey rooted in innovation, aesthetic exploration and artisanal quality, reaffirming the value of Italian craftsmanship within the world of lighting design.
