Jaipur Rugs, a company specialized in rugs made by interpreting the ancient Indian textile art, deepens its research at the crossroads of art and design through Inde Rose. The collection recalls the image of a rose in bloom and reveals the aesthetics of Vinita Chaitanya, nourished by the observation of nature, colors, gardens and the in-depth study of production techniques. The Inde Rose series is in fact the result of the encounter between Jaipur Rugs and Vinita Chaitanya, an artist and designer who for over thirty years has been defining and modulating spaces from a luxury point of view, while remaining faithful to the traditions of India.
Each element of the collection is made entirely of silk, with 121 knots per square inch, integrating the gultaraash technique, whose name refers to the act of pruning plants in gardens. In this way, the design is overlaid with a pattern in slight relief, which adds complexity to the texture and gives new tactile sensations. Inde Rose is made up of five pairs of coordinated rugs, each of which focuses on the juxtaposition of two graphic elements, one the main one and another that complements it, making it stand out. In this way, the combination of different colors and motifs is reflected and adapted to any type of environment, opening up the possibility of building and telling a true story through images.
The color palette chosen for this collection is inspired by the jewel tones typical of traditional Indian paintings but filtered by a contemporary eye that transforms them into dusty pinks, delicate nuances of jade green, blue and purple. Subtle and luminous shades emerge, capable of enhancing the natural sheen of silk. The aesthetics of Inde Rose move along a line that connects history, culture, architecture and nature, proving Jaipur Rugs’ ability to create a dialogue between the imagination of designers and creative people and the ancient weaving techniques of rural India.
