Hyperdecorative Interiors by Platform for HOMI Milano

HOMI, Il Salone degli Stili di Vita (The Lifestyle Exhibition), the event dedicated to objects and complements that animate the spaces of contemporary living, will open to the public at Fiera Milano from 5th to 8th September 2021. It will take place concurrently with the supersalone, the 2021 special event of the Salone del Mobile and the Milan Design Week.
The event reaffirms its vocation as a meeting place and opportunity for industry professionals, a space for experimentation and creative contamination open to those who want to understand the evolution of habits and lifestyles, in Italy and worldwide, discovering in advance the trends of home living.
Among the various experiential paths and special projects proposed to accompany the different types of visitors inside the exhibition spaces, there will be HYPERDECORATIVE INTERIORS, the special event organised in collaboration with PLATFORM architecture and design magazine.

The transformation of the domestic environment into a place that is no longer just private, but also a place for work, storytelling and physical activity. The need to have contact with nature, even in one’s own home, is one of the most keenly felt post-pandemic effects.
At the same time, the home becomes a place where decoration becomes a major player again, as a reaction to the cancellation of social relations.
The language of design becomes “hybrid”, responding to the new behaviours, or more appropriately, the new lifestyles that have become established.
There is no longer a single interior design, furnishing or design project that follows a single code, but often various languages and trends coexist and contaminate each other, in which the theme of decoration once again becomes an expression of contemporary complexity.
14 interior design projects have been selected, created by as many Italian and international architecture studios, where this process of transformation and osmosis with nature emerges clearly, both by Italian and international designers.
