Host 2025: the international workshop for contemporary hospitality

In the global hospitality landscape, design plays an absolutely strategic role, transforming itself from a simple aesthetic exercise to a driver of cultural and technological innovation. Quiet luxury, cross-pollination between furniture, foodservice and tableware, and a growing focus on sustainability are reshaping the way we conceive spaces and services. Against this backdrop, from 17 to 21 October 2025, Fiera Milano will host Host, the international event that brings together architects, designers and operators to explore the trends that are redefining contemporary hospitality.

Hospitality design is no longer limited to offering fine materials or iconic forms, but is moving towards the creation of complete and engaging experiences: lobbies that become sensory journeys, restaurants that experiment with visual languages generated by artificial intelligence, suites that combine local craftsmanship and advanced technologies. High-end hotels and restaurants are thus establishing themselves as laboratories of innovation, where emotion, aesthetics and functionality come together. In this context, tableware is experiencing significant growth and is emerging as a privileged field for exploring new aesthetics, from eco-design to the return of formal dining.

The dialogue with the world of design will find expression in Design Talks 2025, organised in collaboration with POLI.design and sponsored by NEWH – The Hospitality Industry Network. It will be a series of meetings dedicated to the major themes affecting the sector: sustainability, wellness applied to spaces, new formats, global scenarios and the central role of Made in Italy. These opportunities for discussion will feature architects, designers and scholars and will offer operators a cross-sectional view of the transformations currently underway.
Alongside the meetings, Host 2025 will host the seventh edition of Smart Label – Host Innovation Award, promoted with POLI.design and sponsored by ADI, the award that recognises the most visionary and sustainable solutions. The three categories in the competition – Smart Label, Innovation Smart Label and Green Smart Label – confirm the role of the award as a privileged observatory capable of identifying the guidelines for future projects.

Host 2025 is therefore presented as a creative hub with an international focus, capable of connecting contract, interior design, tableware and technology in a single ecosystem. Until 17 September, Early Bird tickets are available to purchase online at a special price, offering an opportunity to discover the latest trends in hospitality and meet industry leaders.
