Giulio Cappellini is the new creative director of Arredoluce

Arredoluce, the lighting brand that together with Penta and Castaldi forms the Auralis group, chooses Giulio Cappellini as its new art director. Founded in Monza in 1943 by the entrepreneur and designer Angelo Lelii, the company has made its mark on the history of Italian-made lighting, with projects signed by great masters of design such as Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass, Nanda Vigo, the Castiglioni brothers and Lelii himself.

With its extensive archive, Arredoluce is now part of Auralis: the first Italian lighting hub which, under the guidance of CEO Andrea Citterio, is ready to enhance this precious heritage. The brand, in fact, is embarking on a new phase and is looking to the future with Giulio Cappellini, who will be responsible for giving new impetus to the catalog of the masters of the past and integrating it with new products signed by contemporary masters.

The aim is to enhance the catalog and integrate it with the proposals of contemporary designers. The creative director will work on the re-editions of the historical projects with a philological approach in order to return objects as consistent as possible with the originals, both from the stylistic point of view and from the technical and design contents. In addition, thanks to his renowned expertise as a talent scout, he will identify names and proposals that can give continuity to the philosophy and values of Arredoluce, projecting the brand into the contemporary world.
