The contract sector is confirmed as strategic for the construction industry, thanks to its ability to manage projects in an integrated manner, optimise time and costs, and guarantee high quality standards. This is the context for the work of Finstral, a leading Italian company in Europe in the production of doors and windows, which has created a specialised team to work alongside architects and developers right from the early design stages. A winning approach that has led the company to be involved in numerous prestigious projects, strengthening its presence in international real estate.
Among the most recent and significant of these is the project for the new Hotel ROMEO Hadid Roma, located in Via di Ripetta, in the historic heart of the capital, a few steps from Piazza del Popolo. Here, in a 16th-century aristocratic palace, an exclusive five-star boutique hotel with 74 rooms has been created, signed by Studio Zaha Hadid in collaboration with the ROMEO entrepreneurial group. The project is configured as a new paradigm of urban resort, in which art, architecture, design, gastronomy and wellness coexist harmoniously in a contemporary interpretation of the civilisation of living.
The entire project was conceived to integrate the historicity of the building with an innovative and sustainable architectural vision. The use of eco-compatible materials and cutting-edge technologies has made it possible to contain the environmental impact while enhancing the heritage of the building.
The entire project was conceived to integrate the historicity of the building with an innovative and sustainable architectural vision. The use of eco-friendly materials and cutting-edge technologies made it possible to contain the environmental impact while enhancing the existing heritage. In this scenario, Finstral made a key contribution with a selection of high-performance windows and doors, designed to meet both the aesthetic and functional requirements of the project.
At the heart of the structure are FIN-Project Cristal windows and FIN-Vista glazing, elements that combine elegance and technology. The former are distinguished by the total absence of visible frames, offering visual continuity between interior and exterior, ideal for enhancing the urban panorama of the Eternal City. The glazing, designed for maximum energy efficiency, ensures optimal comfort thanks to special glass that reduces thermal transmission and improves acoustic insulation. The use of Parsol Grey glass also guarantees privacy without sacrificing brightness, contributing to guests’ well-being.
Particular attention was paid to the spa areas, where a single large pane of glass provides a striking view of the garden and the archaeological remains of a Roman domus. On the external perimeter of the building, Finstral installed numerous fixed and openable glass panels serving different areas of the building, including chef Alain Ducasse’s Michelin-starred restaurant.
The quality of the materials, minimalist design and transparency that characterise Finstral’s solutions enhance the aesthetic vocation of the project, combining luxury and sustainability. The ability to harmonise innovation and tradition translates into a coherent architectural language, capable of dialoguing with the past without renouncing contemporaneity.
With this project, Finstral confirms its leading role in the high-end contract segment, offering made-to-measure solutions for complex projects, in the name of technical excellence, attention to the environment and formal refinement. An example of how the window can become a key element in hospitality architecture, helping to define the experience and identity of a place.
