Sun, color and energy. Élitis with its new 2023 fabric series pays homage to Mexico by creating textures capable of evoking the beauty of Latin America’s sunshine and colors. The designs that animate the line’s fabrics are freely inspired by the volumes and colors of Mexico’s creative architecture, such as Luis Barragán’s masterpieces of modernity on the streets of Mexico City, Careyes’ secret reserves nestled between tropical forests and the Pacific Ocean, and the bohemian charm of Coyoacán, a neighborhood distinctive for its flowering bougainvillea and colorful house facades.
With ornamental embroidered or woven fabrics featuring bayadère stripes and playful patterns, the textures abandon restraint and linearity to surrender to authentic joy. Textured solids have a handcrafted look and feature central designs, have a matte look with earth tones and more invigorating accents, soft wools with embossed patterns, fresh chic linens, and elegant richly colored drape Among the various lines is Escondido with unusual graphic stripes, harmonious patterns and great softness. It showcases the uneven beauty of ‘handmade’ style weaves, with raised jacquards and new downy yarns with embroidery. In this colletion there is Loreto with playful and irregular patterns on a mottled chenille background. On the other hand, the Kaila and Zélia fabrics are overflowing with energy and charm, in a vibrant combination of irregular chenille and opaque linen, which channels the light into very soft mineral shades and bright, invigorating colours. Even Acosta, a fabric also suitable for outdoor use, exudes energy thanks to the color of its textures.
