Élitis, innovative languages and classical elements

Poetry and lightness guide the Élitis 2023 wall collection: linen and wood are modelled by textures and roughness given by pigmented patinas, paper games, coated raffia, exuberant embroidery and 3D stripes. The French Maison – creator of wall coverings, accessories and fabrics – combines technical innovations and a precise savoir faire of craftsmanship for creations that highlight eclectic and precious materials. Élitis places the reinterpretation of raw materials and the creation of new languages at the centre of its creative process: in wall coverings, natural materials and ancient cultures find new expression.
The Art Paper collection, for example, transforms textured poems and paper collages into abstract, geometric pictures that claim the influence of 20th century painting masters. Unique and graphic geometric compositions, completely handmade, give movement to the natural wood by Marqueteries, while grooves hark back to the classical world in the endless, seamless 3D wallpaper by Rayures Jumelles.
In the wallpaper collections, naive and exuberant embroideries instead reinterpret linen, freeing it from its roots and clichés, as in the Lins Brodés line. The Ortigia collection, on the other hand, invites for a plunge into the Mediterranean, thanks to vinyl that recreates a chalky matt effect, reminiscent of the lime of sun-kissed, spice-scented alleys. The Accessoire line is inspired this year by bucolic atmospheres, with a few animalier touches to enliven them. The soft cushions, handmade carpets and curtains of the Jardin d’Eden collection recall the soothing colours of the sea and the Normandy countryside.
