Design Shooting 2025 by Ideal Standard

Photography narrates contemporary architecture

Design Shooting, the exhibition project conceived and promoted by Ideal Standard in collaboration with TOWANT, is now in its fourth Milanese edition. On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025, the oTTo space, in via Paolo Sarpi, hosted the new edition of the photographic exhibition celebrating the encounter between architecture and contemporary photography. The wellestablished
format was created with the intention of presenting architectural sites through an original and immersive visual narrative.

For the 2025 edition, fifteen photographers were asked to collaborate with the same number of architecture studios. Each photographer interpreted a project, restoring the spirit, intuition and context of the construction site visited in a unique shot. The result is a collection of images capable of conveying the human, aesthetic and technical depth of architecture in the making. Design Shooting is not just an exhibition, but an interactive cultural experience. Visitors had the opportunity to express their preference by voting for their favourite photograph, simply by framing a QR Code available in the exhibition or on the official website www.designshooting.it.

The three works most voted for by the public, together with one selected by the organisers, will compete for the final award. The initiative is proposed as a creative workshop that combines visual languages and design practices, giving life to a choral tale on the state of contemporary architecture in Italy. An unmissable opportunity for architects, photographers, enthusiasts and the curious to immerse themselves in a narrative where the image not only documents, but also interprets and inspires.
