ColonnaCaramanti

In the city of Milan, just a few steps from Piazza della Scala and overlooking the historic Casa degli Omenoni, the new headquarters of the ColonnaCaramanti Law and Tax Firm has taken shape. The interior design project is signed by BBA Studio, led by architects Barbara Ballabio and Andrea Burgio, a Milan-based practice with more than twenty-five years of experience in interior architecture.

The design aims to translate the firm’s core values into spatial and material language: independence, rigor, systemic vision, and long-term perspective. To achieve this, the spaces were conceived with a refined balance of transparency, functionality, and warmth. Glass partitions enhance natural light and visual connection, while oak wood and neutral finishes bring sobriety and comfort.

The environment is designed to combine confidentiality with openness, reflecting the complex and dynamic nature of the firm’s work. A distinctive feature of the project is the integration of a contemporary art collection, conceived not as mere decoration but as an essential part of the identity of the workplace. Sculptural works by established artists such as Carlo Ramus coexist with pieces by emerging talents, personally selected by Filippo Colonna, turning the office into a private gallery that inspires connections and new perspectives.

BBA Studio successfully interpreted the balance between professional pragmatism and cultural openness, creating an environment where architecture, work, and art coexist in a coherent and fluid dialogue.
