Cersaie 2025 expands according to new exhibition scenarios

Welcoming visitors to the 42nd edition of Cersaie, scheduled to take place in Bologna from 22 to 26 September 2025, will be a visual installation of great impact: a series of macro-images that cover the entrance portico, transforming it into a stage where ceramics tells its story through form, colour, functionality and technology, until the perfect synthesis is achieved: beauty. The images, conceived as stage backdrops, interpret the ceramic material and its multiple languages, giving life to an installation designed by Dario Curatolo, through which one can access an edition of the fair rich in content and novelties.

Cersaie 2025 will be presented with an overall surface area expanded by 10,000 square metres more than in 2024, for a total of 155,000 square metres of exhibition space already fully occupied. This growth has entailed a reorganisation of the layout of the stands, with four pavilions dedicated to bathroom furnishings – one more than the previous year – strategically positioned at crossroads and surrounded by the eight pavilions reserved for the latest innovations in ceramic tiles and slabs. New product sectors such as prestige surfaces – wood and marble – alongside interior and exterior finishes will be showcased in Halls 31 and 32. Mall 37, on the other hand, becomes the hub of technology applied to construction, hosting the “home” of innovative start-ups. The area dedicated to laying also grows, with the new Hall 19 expanding the space reserved for the City of Laying and specialised companies in the sector, increasingly strategic for the entire ceramic ecosystem.

This year’s novelties also include the setting up of the Architecture Lounge Let’s Talk, in Gallery 21 – 22, curated by Angelo Dall’Aglio and Davide Vercelli, designed to further enrich the event’s cultural programme. Cultural initiatives will also take place at the Palazzo dei Congressi, where the eagerly awaited lectio magistralis will be held, while The Square area, inside the Service Centre, will be dedicated to architecture and design conferences and the International Press Conference. Also returning is the appointment with ‘The Press Cafés’, set up in Mall 29 – 30 thanks to the collaboration with important media partners, confirming the centrality of cultural debate in the exhibition project.
Promoted by Confindustria Ceramica and organised by Edi.Cer. spa, in cooperation with BolognaFiere and with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the ICE Agency, Cersaie continues to affirm its role as a commercial and cultural platform of reference for the entire ceramic and bathroom furnishing supply chain worldwide. A place where innovation, aesthetic research and dialogue between professionals build the future of contemporary living design.
