CBD Guangzhou consolidates its global leadership with a 47% increase in international attendance

With international attendance up 47%, the 27th edition of CBD – China International Building Decoration Fair – confirms its status as the global benchmark event for the world of interior design and architecture. Combining innovation, sustainability and strategic vision, the fair has once again transformed the Canton Fair Complex into a platform open to the future of construction. Over 205,000 professional visitors from 145 countries flocked to the 300,000 square metre exhibition space, confirming Guangzhou as an essential hub for those who design the cities and spaces of tomorrow.

CBD Guangzhou is now much more than just a trade fair. It is a platform that operates all year round, offering concrete connections between manufacturers, designers, distributors and operators in the contract and retail sectors. The three main thematic areas – Interior, Exterior and Matech – are intertwined with six strategic market channels: from dealers to designers, from international traders to commercial project developers. The interaction between these areas is reinforced by tools designed to facilitate matching and collaboration: programmes such as Dealer-Link, CBD World-Connect and Design-Link translate opportunities into long-term relationships.

Once again this year, the fair accompanied the exhibition with a packed cultural calendar featuring over 70 forums, talks and themed events dedicated to key topics such as artificial intelligence applied to design, sustainable construction and global expansion strategies. The Guangzhou International Bath & Sanitary Ware Fair (CBS) was held in parallel, further enriching the offering and promoting dialogue between different but complementary sectors.

Sustainability and technological innovation were at the heart of the exhibition proposals. The companies present showcased advanced solutions that anticipate market needs and outline new, more conscious and interconnected models of living. This is a clear sign of the entire sector’s determination to tackle environmental and digital challenges head-on, offering concrete solutions that combine efficiency, quality and responsibility.

CBD Guangzhou does not merely reflect the state of the art in the sector: it guides it. The 2025 edition has set new parameters for international participation and strengthened the event’s role as a strategic reference point for all those involved in the transformation of contemporary spaces. The 2026 edition is already shaping up to be full of new features and content, with the aim of further consolidating the fair’s position as a place where the future of global construction and design is concretely designed.
