Caleido at MDW26: the radiator as an architectural language

At Milan Design Week 2026, Caleido presents a coherent and mature evolution of its design path, strengthening the dialogue between design, architecture, and material research. An approach that has developed over time and now translates into an increasingly conscious vision of the radiator as an element fully integrated into space.

The brand took center stage in an exhibition journey articulated across three distinct contexts – Fiera Milano Rho, the Agape showroom on Via Statuto, and Materia 2.0 – each contributing, through complementary languages, to expressing Caleido’s identity and its ability to interpret the contemporary needs of interior design.

At the core of the presentation is Infinito Custom, a project designed by Studio Marco Piva, which moves beyond the functional dimension of heating to become an architectural sign. A modular and flexible system that develops continuously within space, shaping surfaces and defining rhythms both vertically and horizontally. Custom configurations allow for compositions that engage with architecture, redefining proportions and the perception of environments.

Materiality plays a fundamental role in this narrative. Brass, the protagonist of the collections, is expressed through a refined palette of finishes—polished chrome, brushed silver, polished gold, brushed gold, brushed bronze, and brushed titanium-designed to create harmonious relationships with other elements of the bathroom space, particularly fittings. A system of surfaces that becomes a design tool, capable of building visual continuity and coherent identities.

This attention to detail extends to other collections as well, such as the Colibrì Light towel warmer, where galvanic finishes including silver, gold, brushed titanium, and polished chrome further expand expressive possibilities, and the 1000 Righe radiator, characterized by anodized finishes in Anodic Brown, Anodic Grey, and Anodic Nickel.

Alongside aesthetic research, Caleido develops a technological reflection focused on the integration of advanced functionalities, opening new perspectives in system management and control. In this context, the radiator is transformed—from a technical element into an architectural component capable of generating space. Surface, rhythm, sign, and material become the new codes of a design language that interprets contemporary design with balance and awareness.
