The company’s success is not only based on the quality of its products and craftsmanship, but also on efficient service and the possibility to customise every detail, transforming each project into a unique work of art.
Among the novelties of 2025, Masiero will present during the Milan Design Week, ‘Bōzu’ designed by Signorotto + Partners. Inspired by the Japanese bōzu teru, a small traditional handmade doll hung outside the window to bring good weather, this collection of wall, table and single or multiple pendant lamps embodies the encounter between oriental culture and Italian design, combining simple and elegant shapes with a studied and functional lighting technology.
The Bōzu luminaire, the leitmotiv of the collection available in different versions, proposes a play of balances between the metal base and the glass sphere, in which polished and structured surfaces blend harmoniously.
The spherical diffuser in opaline white Murano triplex glass combines with stylistic effectiveness with the truncated cone base composed of an upper part in brushed gold galvanised metal and a matt black painted metal band with a skirt design, tapered and pleated, particularly pleasant to the touch.
A special feature is the golden ring at the top of the spherical diffuser with integrated LED source, a decorative detail and key element that in the table version adjusts the light intensity with an intuitive gesture.
In the wall lamps and in the linear and oval pendant versions, it becomes a connecting element between the minimalist black metal structure and the luminaires, playing a strategic function in managing the light emission. In these cases, the ring is electrified and attaches to the metal frames through a groove that acts as a connector, allowing the lamp body to light up when the ring comes into contact with the groove in the frame.
In wall and pendant lamps with 3, 6 or 8 elements, this feature allows one or more fixtures to be attached or detached to optimise the lighting needed at that precise moment.
The latter versions are also enriched with a natural leather strap, a distinctive element that emphasises the handcrafted and material aspect of the lamp, adding an elegantly tactile dimension and creating a fascinating contrast with metal and glass.
In the table version of Bōzu, light is emitted from the sphere, while in the wall-mounted and pendant versions, light is soft and enveloping from the top, and direct and zenithal from the bottom, emitted through the pleated trunk of the cone. This dual diffusion of light makes the collection extremely versatile and suitable for many contexts.
The design also pays particular attention to the rosettes of the pendant and wall lamps, whose black and brushed gold metal colouring matches the finish of the body.
The Bōzu collection is designed to adapt to a variety of spaces within the same environment, creating a harmonious dialogue between these different areas. Available in several versions, including a table lamp, a wall lamp, and pendant models with 3 linear elements or 6/8 elements in an oval arrangement, the design responds with versatility to the needs of public and residential spaces, giving each environment a distinctive and unmistakable character.
