Smart working has radically transformed everyday domestic and professional life, redefining the needs of spaces and the way we experience them. It is in this context that Avro takes shape, a pendant lamp designed to offer a concrete response to the growing need for flexibility: the lower part of its diffuser incorporates a discreet but immediately accessible power socket, capable of turning any table into a complete workstation.
The evolution of this project has now led to the creation of two new variants, Avro Junior and the version with only a socket, designed to expand the possibilities of use and further simplify everyday life. The ability to attach the lamps to a track allows them to be moved precisely and effortlessly, making the installation particularly suitable for work and public environments, where the configuration of the space can change quickly. Avro Junior meets the needs of smaller spaces thanks to the reduced diameter of the diffuser, while the version with only a socket provides immediate access to electricity in coworking spaces, open spaces or areas where no light source is required. In the latter solution, the design is enhanced by a second cone mirroring the first, between which a small diffuser pulses at regular intervals with a soft light, delicately signalling that the socket is in operation.
Every detail of the design is conceived to promote fluid and natural use of electrical devices, facilitating work from home as well as in the office and transforming the space into a creative workshop, where aesthetics and function coexist seamlessly. The aluminium structure, painted in shades of orange, blue, white and black, is combined with a dimmable LED light source that diffuses direct and soft light, while the electronic power supply integrated into the ceiling rose keeps the visual line of the object clean. For those who need additional power points, a table multi-socket is available, complete with three Shuko sockets and two USB ports.
Avro is not just a lamp: its identity is clear at first glance. The integration of the socket overcomes the traditional dependence on wall sockets and introduces a new concept of freedom in the home and professional space. The widely recyclable materials demonstrate a particular focus on sustainability, while the tapered and harmonious shape allows it to be positioned at the ideal height without hindering the use of the electrical source. The aluminium body and methacrylate diffuser create a visual balance that naturally accommodates the plug, maintaining the elegance of the profile.
Intuitive and versatile, Avro illuminates and at the same time enables new operational possibilities, offering an always accessible electrical island to power laptops, personal devices or creative tools. It is an object that discreetly enters everyday spaces, maintaining a technological soul that looks to the future and integrates perfectly into homes, studios, offices and contract projects.
