Ceramica Sant’Agostino is expanding its range with ASTRAL, a collection of rectified porcelain stoneware floor and wall tiles featuring an elegant marble effect, inspired by the luminosity and depth of onyx. The surfaces are characterised by a sophisticated aesthetic, featuring flowing veins and subtle translucencies that offer a contemporary reinterpretation of the allure of the finest stones. The project was conceived with the aim of combining aesthetic research, technological innovation and functionality, and was previewed at Cersaie 2025.
The collection evokes the myriad shades of veined onyx and the vastness of the sky, translating them into surfaces that suggest depth, luminosity and dynamism. The sinuous veins, pearlescent tones and chromatic contrasts—sometimes delicate, sometimes more intense—create a constantly shifting visual effect. Just as in nature, light interacts with the material, generating reflections and iridescence that vary depending on the environment and the viewing angle, making each element unique.
At the heart of every surface lies the fusion of artisanal craftsmanship and advanced technology. Carve3D Technology introduces a three-dimensional quality that is both visual and tactile, enhancing the subtle colour variations and the depth of the grain. The Nat and Krystal finishes combine a pleasant feel, brilliance and durability, whilst also incorporating antibacterial and antiviral solutions designed for indoor environments, thereby ensuring comfort and safety.
ASTRAL lends itself to a wide range of design contexts, from residential to contract. In living spaces, the large formats and Extra slabs help to create visual continuity and a sense of spaciousness, transforming the environment into an immersive experience. In bathrooms, the variety of rectangular formats allows for balanced compositions, enhancing the vein pattern thanks to Carve3D technology and the Plissè design. The collection includes rectangular formats of 30×60, 60×120 and 90×180 cm, as well as Extra slabs measuring 120×278 cm, available in the colour variants White, Ivory, Pearl, Beige and Amber. Each design is crafted to ensure visual continuity and harmony between spaces, enhancing the graphic movement inspired by onyx and offering high-quality solutions from both a technical and aesthetic perspective.
