Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & SPA is an accommodation facility, 5-star Luxury hotel, that develops along a ridge of the Sasso Caveoso district in Matera, taking a slice, from the bottom to the top, for a total area of about 5000 square meters.
The lower part with access from via B. Buozzi houses boasts: the reception, the restaurant, the breakfast room, the meeting room, the lobby bar & lounge and the Spa with heated pool.
The 35 rooms and suites are mainly settled in the upper part of the structure, built and excavated in the tuff inside the earth womb.
The general project has maintained the character of conviviality, typical of these places. Even the interior design project is aesthetically affected by this function: the “chianche”, that we find as flooring of the neighbors, enter as if they were a single surface, as if to indicate an ideal continuity. The furnishings, real masterpieces, neutral, fluid, without edges, float on the continuous pavements.
The iconic and primary signs that characterize the spaces, recall in the color the lime milk with which “materani” sanitized the interiors of their homes-cave.
