In the vibrant heart of Kuwait City rises The Oasis, an architectural project by Flaviano Capriotti Architetti for Nasco Group. A landmark of contemporary design, it redefines the concept of multifunctional space by blending aesthetics, innovation, and nature in a dynamic and immersive environment.
The Oasis spans an area of 6,000 square meters and represents a model of fluid and harmonious architecture. The central element of the project is the Oasis Gallery, a transition space between exterior and interior, transforming the idea of a passageway into a lively and welcoming public area. Designed as an urban greenhouse, the architectural forms of the Gallery are inspired by nature, offering a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The choice of materials plays a key role in defining the project’s identity. Basalt stone flooring, dark terracotta walls, slatted wood for ceilings and staircases, along with bronze and Murano glass details, create a sophisticated and welcoming environment. The exterior frames, made of green glazed lava stone, emphasize the immersion in nature, making the space a true architectural oasis.
On the ground floor, The Oasis hosts a 2,000-square-meter exhibition area dedicated to prestigious brands such as Poliform, Nasco Interiors, and Nespresso, confirming the complex’s role as a high-end design hub. The heart of the project is the 85-square-meter glass pavilion located within a patio, designed to host events and meetings, fostering the exchange of ideas and creativity.
On the first floor, the private offices of Nasco Group are laid out in an open-plan space, featuring a minimalist yet highly functional design. The arrangement of the spaces and the use of natural light, enhanced by an internal courtyard, create an atmosphere of well-being and concentration. The light wood-clad walls and brick-red laminate panels draw inspiration from Richard Serra’s sculptures, transforming the space into a sensory experience.
The Oasis is not just a building but a project of cultural and creative connection. With a design that draws from Italian Rationalism and a masterful use of materials, Flaviano Capriotti Architetti has created a distinctive and welcoming architecture, seamlessly integrating with Kuwait’s urban context. It stands as a testament to the excellence of Made in Italy applied to architecture and interior design, offering a new way of living and interpreting spaces.
