A New Concept of Hospitality in Venice: Contemporary Elegance and Tradition in Harmony

In the heart of Venice, a new lodging experience has emerged, blending the charm of tradition with sophisticated, innovative design. The 2941 Venice project, designed by the Moitié interior design studio, redefines the concept of a Bed & Breakfast, transforming a historic building into a welcoming, elegant space perfectly in tune with the Venetian context.

Located on a picturesque street in the lagoon city, 2941 Venice stands out for its refined aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail. The central theme of the project is the color blue, which runs through the spaces in various shades, creating a vibrant and harmonious atmosphere. This idea reflects Moitié Studio‘s philosophy: to enhance the past with a modern, dynamic language.

The creative duo Giorgia Rossi and Francesco Gennaro have designed a space tailored for contemporary travelers, where comfort and authenticity blend seamlessly in a dialogue between old and new. “We wanted to create a place that tells the story of Venice in a modern way, without losing sight of its historical identity“, the designers explain.

The Bed & Breakfast offers two double suites, each with a private bathroom, kitchenette, and living room. While sharing a cohesive stylistic language, each room has its own unique color scheme: one plays with shades of blue and marsala, while the other is characterized by a delicate balance of blue and salmon pink.
A distinctive feature of the project is the preservation of historical details: exposed brick walls tell the story of the building, while the original wooden beams, painted white, add a touch of lightness and brightness to the spaces. Oak parquet runs throughout the structure, creating a warm and welcoming material continuity.

The bathrooms, true design gems, are covered with Cesi tiles and enhanced by personalized elements, such as the blue mirror that recalls the project’s chromatic theme. The living room, designed as a convivial space for breakfast and relaxation, mixes modern elements with decorative details inspired by Venetian tradition, while the compact and functional kitchen caters to the needs of the contemporary traveler.

With the 2941 Venice project, Moitié Studio demonstrates how hospitality can be transformed into an immersive experience, where design is not just about aesthetics but also storytelling and the appreciation of cultural heritage. Every material, shape, and color contributes to creating a unique stay, where the past meets the present in a perfect balance of beauty and functionality.
