At Milan Design Week 2026, Masiero presented three new collections that explore the theme of light through different yet complementary languages, in a continuous dialogue between material, form and design gesture. Serica and Serica Dot by Marco Zito, Na-ar by Scatter d and Antesia by Stella Gianola and Giovanni Battista Gianola offer three interpretations of light, each capable of expressing the brand’s research through a balance of innovation, craftsmanship and aesthetic identity.
Serica and Serica Dot originate as a refined synthesis of the iconic Nappe motif by Marco Zito, reinterpreted in a more essential and architectural way. The decorative element is reduced to a few components, maintaining abstract references to Venetian ornamental traditions in the upper part, while the slender tubular body enhances the visual lightness and verticality of the composition.
In Serica, three decorative elements define a variable rhythm across different heights, creating free compositions, either single or multiple, capable of transforming the light source into a suspended sign in space.
Serica Dot, in its more compact dimension, condenses this language into essential cylindrical modules, expanding design possibilities through different decorative variants and configurations.
In both versions, material research is expressed through galvanic finishes ranging from sophisticated champagne tones to darker shades, reinforcing the dialogue between formal simplicity and richness of detail.
With Na-ar by Scatter d, light is instead connected to material through the ribbed surface of brass, giving shape to a system of cylindrical bodies defined by clean lines and calibrated cuts. The name itself evokes the colour of fire and suggests a warm, enveloping light, designed to accompany both convivial moments and more intimate atmospheres.
The pendant elements, available in different lengths and cut variations, allow for cluster configurations in which light reflects between the elements, generating dynamic and changing effects. Geometric rigour combines with the richness of the metal surface, worked to create depth and luminous vibrations, while the finishes – champagne and terra di Marte – enhance the tactile and visual quality of the material. The system is completed by wall and table versions, extending the collection’s ability to adapt to different contexts, from residential settings to contract spaces.
Antesia, designed by Stella Gianola and Giovanni Battista Gianola, explores the more expressive and poetic dimension of light through mouth-blown glass. The project originates from the observation of the glassmaking process, capturing four distinct moments of its transformation and translating them into as many luminous forms.
Like a sequence of images, the lamps narrate the evolution of matter, from its initial core to its fully developed form, evoking the concept of blossoming from which the collection takes its name. The organic, soft and sinuous shapes diffuse a delicate light, made even more ethereal by the
transparency and nuances of the glass. Each element can exist independently or interact with others, giving rise to fluid and articulated compositions capable of adapting to spaces of different scales and identities.
Through these three collections, Masiero constructs a layered narrative of contemporary light, where design moves between geometric abstraction, material exploration and artisanal gesture. A path that confirms the brand’s ability to interpret design as an open system, where each object is not just a light source, but an element capable of shaping space, atmosphere and relationships.
