Correa Granados Architects made the restyling of a historic family-run cafe in the beating heart of the Milan’s Brera Design District now named Tangram Cafè. A luminescent environment, rich in reflections, carefully-designed lighting and hanging plants welcomes the guest in a retro ambient reinterpreted with a sober and contemporary way.
Green pastel color, bleached oak wood, cream stone and brass. The three-arch bottle display behind the curvilinear counter alludes to a bygone era with a fresh, up-to-date language. The perimeter wall paneling with its rounded mirrors, multiplies the space and gives human scale to the high ceilings.
The hanging ceiling metal grid is inspired by the geometries of the Asian game Tangram, the true guiding thread of the entire composition and theme of the new corporate identity and logo, fully designed by CGA.
