Contemporary Wallpaper is Wall&decò‘s interior wallpaper collection that develops the theme of macro-subjects, repurposed each time on the wall to create true vertical narratives. In 2023, the collection is expanded by 3 new inspirational moodboards: 71 new graphics gather input and reflections from Wall&decò’s rich portfolio of designers, giving rise to an unusual geography of styles and colors.
“I particularly love this collection and thank our designers for how they interpreted the 3 initial moodboards,” comments Christian Benini, Founder and Creative Director of the company. “Each one presents its own visual code and technique, so with very different solutions, but with a common thread: a bold and unassuming aesthetic that is at the same time extremely sophisticated. Because Wall&decò is just that: visual proposals with a strong personality, capable of creating suggestive atmospheres and aimed at generating emotions through color and imagination.”
VIRTUAL AESTHETICS is a digital universe meant to be a futuristic celebration of the world, bright and optimistic and visually imposing itself through highly saturated color combinations. It is a backlit world, fresh and playful, allowing people to look at color in a new way through powerful and impactful tones that enjoy a captivating vividness in technicolor.
COCOON, on the other hand, is the name given to the second moodboard that stages an opposite investigation from the previous one. It is a stance where analog rejects digital by representing a world made of matter and extreme craftsmanship. Colors and textures are strictly natural: earth, sand, terracotta, and straw help delineate bright and enveloping spaces ensuring the peaceful oasis of a domestic cocoon.
POST METAVERSE is an explosion of the previous two moodboards, resulting in a distillation that places the focus on the essential. It is a representation of another reality, where a wordless world prevails, reflected in an absence of color. Here it is gray that takes center stage, in an exploration that contemplates all its tones, creating three-dimensionality as it is also composed of light and metal.
