Cino Zucchi Architetti presents the ‘Capricci’ and ‘Sacred Stones’ exhibitions

On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2024, the CZA Cino Zucchi Architetti studio presented a double exhibition at the studio in Via Revere 8, Milan.
Until 10th May 2024, it will be possible to visit the exhibition entitled “Sacred Stones”, which presents the custom-made furniture created for the ‘Resurrection of Christ’ Church in Sesto San Giovanni, alongside the art exhibition “Capricci” by the London-based artist Lisa Ivory, for the first time in Milan.

CZA is pleased to dedicate an entire studio wall as a backdrop to the work of an artist who has been admired for several years. Lisa’s ‘Capricci’ series offers a new line of artistic research derived from established figurative themes – mysterious ghost-like or bestial figures, nymphs, skeletons – set against the backdrop of Arcadian landscapes that mix architectural ruins, abandoned shrines, enigmatic artefacts together with somewhat menacing vegetation, evoking a surreal narrative that transcends traditional boundaries.

As visitors tour the atelier-laboratory’s spaces and collections, they are also invited to explore, through scale models, photographs and sketches, the development of a challenging design theme of finding the appropriate form of religious “outils” whose symbolic attributions exceed their practical function.
The juxtaposition of “Sacred Stones” and “Capricci” underlines CZA’s commitment to promoting cultural and artistic dialogues beyond the boundaries of traditional architecture and design.
From 22nd April to 10th May, visits are open Monday to Friday, 5 to 8 p.m., with reservations required by emailing press@zucchiarchitetti.com.
