Following the success of its previous publishing and exhibition projects, Platform Architecture and Design returns to Genova Design Week 2026 with a new cultural project dedicated to interior design: “Architetture d’interni in Liguria”, an exhibition accompanied by a publication that explores the region through the lens of contemporary design.
The exhibition “Architetture d’interni in Liguria” was conceived with the aim of showcasing and promoting interior architecture in Liguria through the work of local and national designers, invited to engage with a region unique in terms of its topography, light and cultural layers.
The project stems from a nationwide open call, which attracted over 150 entries. From these, the Platform editorial team selected 50 projects, chosen for their design quality, coherence with the context and ability to interpret the relationship between interiors and the Ligurian region in a contemporary way. The selected projects – by both emerging and established practices – represent a broad spectrum of interventions, from private residences to hospitality and commercial spaces, offering a multifaceted vision of contemporary living.
The exhibition will be staged according to a design by Angelo Dadda within Palazzo Saluzzo, at Via Chiabrera 7, in the heart of the Design District.
The setting – one of the Palazzi dei Rolli – becomes a space for dialogue between historical heritage and the contemporary, amplifying the relationship between interior architecture and the city.
The projects will be presented through an exhibition layout and a dedicated publication, which brings together the 50 projects and serves as their cultural manifesto.
In parallel with the exhibition, Platform is organising the Platform Architecture Festival, an opportunity for designers to meet and exchange ideas. The festival will take place on 4 and 5 June 2026 at Palazzo Melograno, in Campetto 2 – Platform’s new Genoa headquarters and the home of Casa Platform – within the Salone delle Feste.
Over the two days, all 50 selected designers will be invited to present their work through talks and speeches, creating a continuous programme of content and reflections on interior architecture as a tool for interpreting the local area. The event is also open to architects and the interested public and represents a unique opportunity for direct exchange between professionals.
The event is accredited by the Order of Architects and awards 4 professional development credits for each day.
