The studio 967arch designed the new headquarters of Gruppo Florence in Via Manzoni, in the heart of Milan, within a historic building just steps away from the city’s fashion district. The project translates into architecture the values of an integrated platform of manufacturing companies that embody Italian excellence in the fashion industry, creating spaces that combine representativeness and functionality.
The layout across two levels made it possible to dedicate the ground floor to hospitality and exhibition areas overlooking the internal courtyard, while the first floor accommodates offices, meeting rooms, and open spaces. The basement level instead hosts a dedicated break area. The courtyard becomes a place of both physical and visual connection between departments, thanks to large windows that promote transparency and continuity of perception.
The scenographic heart of the project is the double-height main gallery, conceived as a flexible space for exhibitions, events, and presentations. In its current setup, it features two large suspended tables. Defining the entrance is a sculptural steel staircase designed by 967arch, together with mirrored glass display units in a soft golden hue, showcasing selected pieces from the group’s partner companies.
The operational areas on the first floor are arranged along two wings connected by a suspended walkway. Finishes and furnishings recall the worlds of craftsmanship and production that form the group’s identity—rooted in artisanal excellence, territorial culture, and material quality.
For 25 years, 967arch has been designing architecture, interiors, and product design for companies, private clients, and public institutions. Founded in Milan by Cesare Chichi and Stefano Maestri, the studio relies on the expertise of architects and designers, covering multiple scales of design.
