In the heart of the majestic mountains of Ponte di Legno, a historic apartment has undergone a remarkable transformation, becoming a contemporary retreat that celebrates the dialogue between past and present. The Rifugio Dalègn project, designed by Studio Zeta, reveals a spacious open-plan living area where natural light flows generously, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Elegant parquet flooring meets matte green Borgogna marble, while refined okumè wood paneling frames the interiors, recreating the authentic essence of a mountain refuge rich in stories and memories. The emotion of entering this space is immediate: a blend of vintage influences and retro notes intertwines with historical elements, such as the original fireplace clad in green ceramic tiles, a silent guardian of timeless memories and atmospheres.
Natural earthy tones embrace guests and invite relaxation, shaping an environment designed for contemplation and rest. The beating heart of the renovation is the living area, conceived as a place for gathering and conviviality: the kitchen, living room, and dining area merge into one airy space, enhanced by dual exposures offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
The choice of natural materials and warm tones further strengthens the visual and spatial continuity, creating a perfect harmony with the alpine landscape. Custom-made furnishings were crafted using warm wood essences with sinuous, concentric grains, resulting in a refined and delicate pattern that is never repetitive. The final effect evokes the lines of mountain topography and the contours of an orographic map.
The result is a timeless retreat-home that, through tailored finishes and carefully selected materials, establishes a deep connection with its surroundings. Here, time seems to slow down, leaving room for calm, reflection, and an authentic sense of warmth and comfort.
