With the Gravel and Baystone collections, Ceramica Sant’Agostino brings together two different interpretations of materiality, united by a focus on visual depth, tactile naturalness and compositional versatility. Two rectified porcelain stoneware surfaces inspired respectively by cement and stone, translating the marks left by time and the action of nature into contemporary spaces.
With Baystone, inspiration comes from the meeting of sea and rock and from the action of water as it smooths and transforms matter. The collection reinterprets the elegance of limestone, a sedimentary rock, through a graphic design that combines a homogeneous, compact texture with natural inclusions of pebbles, flakes and subtle nuances.
The palette comprises six neutral shades – Light, Ivory, Pearl, Sand, Grey and Dark – while the Natural, Antislip, Antislip 20 mm and Plissè finishes extend the range of applications across floors and walls. Plissè, available in the 60×120 cm size, uses its structured surface to further enhance the material character of the stone effect. Sizes range from 60×120 and 60.4×90.6 cm to the square 120×120, 90×90 and 60×60 cm formats, complemented by Mosaico and Plus decorations in 30×30 cm. The AS and AS 2.0 anti-slip surfaces also allow the collection to be used both indoors and outdoors, in residential and public settings.
While Baystone looks to stone shaped by water, Gravel takes time and the memory embedded in matter as its point of reference. Inspired by cement, the collection interprets surfaces marked by use, where details and inclusions re-emerge as traces of an evolutionary process. Three different graphic interpretations define its character: Small, with a fine, compact and delicate grain; Large, featuring more evident pebble inclusions; and Full, where exposed mineral elements have a stronger presence.
Four shades – Light, Sand, Pearl and Grey – are developed in tones of grey and beige and are available in 60×60, 90×90, 120×120 and 60×120 cm formats. In the 60×120 cm size, the Small graphic is also offered with the Plissè structure, designed to enhance the three-dimensional quality of the surface. Alongside the Natural, Antislip and Antislip 20 mm finishes is Gravel Gem, available in Sand and Grey: a decoration in which marble-effect inserts create a geometric rhythm against the cement background, introducing a graphic motif inspired by a rationalist matrix. Carve3D technology gives each inclusion and surface detail a particularly realistic tactile and visual definition.
With Gravel and Baystone, Ceramica Sant’Agostino thus presents two complementary visions of materiality: on one side, the urban memory of cement; on the other, the natural elegance of stone shaped by the sea. Two collections designed to offer freedom of design and aesthetic continuity in both private and public spaces.
