The magic of Orient Express arrives in Italy

More than 150 years after its creation, the magic of the Orient Express returns to make people dream with an unmissable journey on Italian tracks that will take passengers to discover the wonders of the Bel Paese. Through the partnership between the luxury rail tourism project signed Arsenale S.p.A. and the Orient Express brand, it was decided to choose a name with a distinctly Italian flavor that pays homage to the master of Italian cinema, Fellini: La Dolce Vita. Six trains will travel iconic routes through 14 Italian regions and 3 international destinations connecting Rome to Paris, Istanbul and Split.

Rome, in particular will be a magical stop, where visitors will stay in the first Italian hotel signed Orient Express: the Hotel Orient Express Minerva, scheduled to open in 2024. The underlying concept is to give passengers the opportunity to discover a hidden Italy, far from the classic mass attractions, it will in fact be a “slow tourism” and eco-sustainable to discover forgotten roads, intimate locations and hidden villages. The La Dolce Vita train thus embodies the Italian spirit in its most authentic facets, blending the traditions of art and design with a more contemporary travel spirit. In fact, the furnishings of the 12 Deluxe cabins, 18 Suites, 1 Honor Suite and the restaurant celebrate creativity and art, inspired by the influences of the great masters of Italian design of the 60s and 70s.

In collaboration with the best national and international chefs and bartenders, travelers will enjoy a journey through the excellence of Made in Italy, tasting the best wines of the peninsula and the most exclusive recipes of the culinary tradition by starred chefs. The itineraries are designed to provide exciting travel experiences from one to three nights, in environments in line with the highest standards of luxury. The itineraries will be mainly in Italy, where the Alps, the bucolic hilly landscapes and the paradisiacal beaches of the South will take center stage. In addition, three routes will connect Italy to Paris, Istanbul and Split, crossing more than 8 countries. A dream that returns and is dressed in the colors of Italy, offering an unforgettable journey that combines the timeless elegance of the Orient Express with the class Made in Italy.
