The home is on stage at HOMI, The Lifestyle Trade Fair, from 5 to 8 september at fieramilano (Rho), in conjunction with supersalone.
The home décor event is back in attendance and will be held concurrently with Milan Design Week.
HOMI, The Lifestyle Trade Fair (Il Salone degli Stili di Vita), the event entirely dedicated to the world of living and home decoration, is back with a new edition scheduled at fieramilano (Rho) from 5 to 8 September. The increasing attention to indoor becomes the strong point for a kermesse with a dynamic format that explores many trends ranging from design objects, Italian and international craftsmanship, fragrances and home textiles, accessories for the table and the kitchen, to gifts and promotional items. All this at the same time as the supersalone, the special event of the Salone del Mobile 2021, and the Milan Design Week.
OVER 300 BRANDS FROM 22 COUNTRIES
Well-established brands, emerging and better-known designers, start-ups, local companies: the event is the symbol and witness of a varied Italian and foreign production. Sustainable projects that embrace the link between design and nature, but also modernity, functionality, rigour and aesthetics; space is given to new shapes and geometries, to the use of materials that are inextricably linked to the territory from which they originate, but revisited and re-proposed with that touch of innovation that will allow operators to discover unusual, unique and unprecedented objects.
INITIATIVES AND SPECIAL PROJECTS
There are two special areas that this edition focus on particularly innovative products (La stanza delle idee,) and on sustainability (Ki-life.).
The Stanza delle Idee (Room of Ideas) is an area that highlights particularly innovative products, ensuring special attention to exhibiting companies that in this edition present products that are the result of revolutionary solutions and easy application.
A space that hosts objects ranging from lighting – such as Zafferano’s brand new portable and rechargeable battery table lamp – to more practical items such as Dudùu’s wireless fast charger, equipped with a steriliser and perfumer for objects, or the iconic folding helmet by Closca Design.
From City Frames unique 3D miniatures of the world’s most famous cities, the result of a combination of innovative production techniques with high-precision hand-processed data, while from Arredo-Creativo the table that functions as a container for the extension panels, which are now totally invisible from the outside, so that the ‘table’ function remains practically hidden from view to also be an elegant sideboard with glass shelves.
Or the innovative Blueside glass legume bin, ideal for cooking legumes in a flask, which can also be used as a piece of furniture, or the new ILcar kettle which, among its new functions, allows you to regulate the temperature of the water and then keep it constant for up to 3 hours.
Ki-Life is the innovative event space, organised by Kiki-Lab, dedicated to the theme of sustainability, which will tell about a new eco-sustainable purchasing experience, thanks to the presence of products and projects by brands operating in different fields and product categories. In fact, 7MML, Alessi, Brandani, Berti, Cucciolandia, Easylife, Egan, IVV, ImagoNaturae, MinigreenyTM, Tupperware, WD, Zafferano will be present.
This initiative will focus on three macro-topics called the three P’s: Planet, People and Profit to highlight the growing centrality of these themes for the future of people, society and companies. In order to better communicate their values and objectives, two talks a day will put these topics under the spotlight, in the presence of Fabrizio Valente – Founder and Administrator of Kiki Lab – and his guests Paolo Micolucci (Managing Director of Brico Io), Cristian Fracassi (Managing Director of Isinnova) and Diego Toscani (CEO of Promotica).
