Roca is a Spanish company dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of bathroom products for architecture, construction and interior design. Founded in 1917, it combines tradition with a passion for innovation and respect for the environment in order to meet people’s needs and contribute to the improvement of social well-being. Today, Roca’s sales network extends to over 170 countries and is the market leader in Europe, Latin America, India and Russia.
To develop its products, the Roca Design Center collaborates with the most prestigious architects and designers, offering them technologies, expertise and solutions to meet specific needs and anticipate future market trends. Within the Roca Innovation Lab, a section dedicated to research and development, aspects such as sustainability, population ageing, new lifestyles and, in general, any macro-trend that could influence society, domestic life, and how much it could affect the needs of the bathroom environment, are examined and explored. Initiatives such as the Roca One Day Design Challenge and the “Jump the Gap” contest, not only certify the Group’s attention to the proposals of emerging designers but also stimulate them to express their creativity with respect to the evolution of bathroom furniture.
Attention to the theme of sustainability is reflected not only in the marketing of products capable of limiting the consumption of water and energy but also in the production processes that are the subject of actions aimed at cutting CO2 emissions and achieving the goal of generating zero waste. At the same time, the Group promotes, through the We Are Water Foundation, actions aimed at supporting access to water in the poorest areas of the planet and at funding projects to raise awareness of the sustainable use of this primary resource. Roca’s goal is to create bathroom products that not only convey research into design and keep up with modern needs, but also show the company’s mission of commitment to the sphere of sustainability.
