Designed by Studio Pichler Architects and Studio Moretti Interiors, the Manna Resort Spa is a pathway that regenerates and relaxes with contrasting environments that envelop and stimulate the senses, in a space rich in oriental echoes that blend well with the Resort’s cosmopolitan style. Klaus Gummerer of Studio Pichler Architects, together with designer Enrico Moretti of Studio Moretti Interiors, realised Maria Luisa Manna’s dream of creating a unique, cosmopolitan resort in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape, using materials such as wood, copper and glass, all in an environmentally sustainable way.
Each room is different, reflecting owner Maria Luisa Manna’s passion for travel. Over the years, she has collected original objects and furnishings from every continent to dress up her vision of hospitality.
Black and gold colours, scented essences, details that evoke oriental spirituality: here begins an inner journey, to the root of well-being, made of colours, lights, scents and music that evoke the magic of a country that by its very nature is a sanctuary for the body and spirit.
The design, the choice of surfaces, the colours and the enveloping, sinuous forms reflect this imprint oriented towards health and beneficial contact with nature. The rooms open up ideally towards the outside through large windows that seem to dematerialise the boundary between the panorama and the interior.
The path includes dedicated spaces – Starpool products, all rigorously tailor made – including Finnish sauna, soft sauna, steam bath, Mediterranean bath, preparation and reaction showers, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a small swimmable bio-pool, large elegant and quiet relaxation areas and a refreshment area with herbal teas and fruit.
Guiding the guests is the Spa Manager, a profound connoisseur of the health-giving virtues of water – in its various forms, from the solid state of ice to the aeriform state.
The spa is completed by a large area dedicated to massages and rituals, masterfully performed by the beauty team, part of which is originally from Thailand. Finally, the spa works in synergy with Manna Medical, the medical centre reached by a short walk through the garden: here Dr Obrist offers targeted holistic health programmes to purify and strengthen the body and experiment with healthy lifestyles, following the “Mayr method”.
