Homi returns from 26th to 29th January in Fieramilano

HOMI, the trade fair dedicated to decorations, furnishing complements, table and kitchen accessories, textiles and home fragrances, is returning to fieramilano, from 26 to 29 January 2023, with a new edition that will also actively respond to the growing attention paid to living spaces to a new “design of good living”.

“HOMI confirms itself as a fruitful source of inspiration for all sectors that revolve around the home and, in particular, in this edition it develops around two important themes such as sustainability and creative and quality craftsmanship,” explains Emanuele Guido, Director of Fiera Milano’s Lifestyle Business Unit. There are many products, ideas, suggestions and trends that we are proposing to our visitors, thanks to an offer that is wide and diversified and that, as always, will also present a calendar of workshops and talks dedicated to the main themes of interest for operators in the sector”.

According to the data of the 5th edition of the CasaDoxa Observatory, which photographs the changes taking place in society and in the homes of Italians, it emerges that the domestic environment continues to play a central role. Habits have radically changed, much more time is spent at home than a few years ago, and most outdoor activities now take place within the home. This is a change that has redesigned our homes and the way we experience them. Indeed, data compiled by Doxa confirms the significant increase in the number of people who want an extra room (36%), where they can work without being disturbed (or disturbing) by other family members, or find space to exercise and keep fit. Meals are eaten more frequently at home (+33% for lunch, +36% for dinner) and are shared more than before with friends and relatives. Leisure time such as watching films and series (+42%) is also decidedly more at home.
“The home has taken on a strong relevance because it becomes the fulcrum of our new existential project,” comments Paola Caniglia, Head of Living & Retail at BVA Doxa. A different focus on time, work, digital (45% of people are inclined to own smart objects at home, 83% shop online), and sustainability (an essential concept for 91% of people) have challenged our traditional life paths and show us that a reversal of the home-work gravitational perspective is underway”.

Among the exhibitors present at HOMI will be Innovaliving with its proposals of furnishings made from popular materials such as iron and wood, proposed through unusual combinations, Nuvole di Stoffa with a wide range of homeware items all entirely conceived and designed in Italy, Mascagni Casa with elegant and linear collections ranging from furnishing accessories to gift items and lighting. The porcelain creations by Michela Reitani Ceramic Artist are unique because they are all individually handmade: gift items, decorations, table sets, which thanks to the possibility of personalisation – with names, initials, dates, song verses, special thanks – enrich the product with emotion. And more novelties for the home with room diffusers, scented candles, and much more with Euthalia Fragrances, which in January, among its many proposals, is presenting Duomo Milano, a special fragrance paying homage to one of the most famous Gothic cathedrals in the world and to a city synonymous with history and culture.
Ahead of the January appointment, HOMICommunity, the online platform that allows national and international operators and buyers to get a preview of the products, novelties and stories of the companies that will be present at the fair, continues to be active.
