Where design meets seduction

Tiles by Gruppo Romani are Sexy

The evolution experienced by porcelain stoneware has transformed this extraordinary material into an expression of style full of charm, elegance and refinement. Ceramic surfaces today represent the equivalent of a tailor-made suit for architecture and interior design, so much so that dressing spaces and environments with ceramics can attract attention, arouse emotions and transform the perception of what surrounds us.
The tiles signed by the Gruppo Romani brands embody this ideal of perfection that adds an element of surprise, a touch of luxury, and can be summed up in the expression ‘Tiles are Sexy – Where design meets seduction’ chosen by the manufacturer to accompany the presentation of the new collections. Ironic and provocative, the message is intended to emphasise the quality and tradition of made-in-Italy ceramics: the raw materials, the research into mixtures, the craftsmanship that still goes hand in hand with industrial production while keeping its roots firmly in the territory of origin, and then the cutting-edge technologies and the development of innovative solutions.

This is when Serenissima unveils the seductiveness of designer design, giving life to a collaboration with the architects of Amostudio that results in a series of decorations ‘born in the architect’s most cherished sphere ,’ say the designers themselves, ‘ that of the primordial and meaningful nature of the graphic sign. The freehand tracing of a graphite line, which possesses its own three-dimensional texture, encapsulates in an extreme expressive synthesis the entirety of the design idea. As in a negative mosaic, the line is endlessly reverberated in the geometry of a Cartesian grid characterised by different chromatic personalities dialoguing on classic concrete surfaces’.

Milan and its metropolitan suggestions are instead encapsulated in the bricks inspired by the iconic clinker tiles of the 1950s, revived in the style of Cir Manifatture Ceramiche. The Porta Nuova and City collections interpret the dual soul of Lombardy’s capital city, an industrial hub with a long tradition and a profoundly contemporary metropolitan laboratory, yet already looking to the future. The 6.5×29 cm brick format, practical and versatile, is declined by Porta Nuova through the vital force of colour and by City in the creative inventions of ceramic surfaces, both functional and decorative at the service of today’s design.

Cercom Ceramiche focuses on the perfect realism of stone-effect porcelain stoneware through the new and exclusive Stone Lab container. The breadth of the proposal and the versatility of the products, both from an aesthetic point of view and from a more strictly technical one, with finishes for interiors and exteriors, formats and thicknesses for different laying solutions, builds an unusual and fascinating design laboratory. Not forgetting the most recent collections: Everstone, born from the study of the graphic texture of different natural materials, and Stone Vision, designed to recreate the charm of ancient floors where the imperfections of stone become characteristics of style.
And to conclude the journey into ceramic seduction, a stop on the Costa Smeralda where Cerasarda guards the decorators’ experience in the use of craft techniques that give life to the company’s masterpieces. The handmade vocation is expressed in the proposals for interior design and giftware, for the table and for the home, and testifies to Gruppo Romani’s focus on the enhancement of the most authentic expressions of Made in Italy.
