At the heart of this restyling project by architect Giorgio Palù/Studio Arkpabi is the concept of enhancing the pre-existing building and its uniqueness. The objective was to convert a late 19th century dwelling in the historic centre of Soncino (CR) into an elegant and functionally modern residence. Through an essential but recognisable style, the characteristics of the past were maintained, merging them with a contemporary vision and giving the spaces of this ancient palace a new soul within a new look. Steel Group was responsible for enhancing and furnishing the interiors and ensuring a harmonious visual continuity between the indoor and outdoor
spaces with tailor-made solutions.
Huge arched windows and doors in powder-coated steel, an imposing helicoidal staircase in burnished brass with an extra-clear glass mezzanine joining the two floors of the villa, a patchwork entrance window in brass and frosted glass with concealed lateral hangers, design elements and complements in metal, and fine finishes: the private villa in Soncino is thus transformed into the synthesis and essence of a strong and refined identity, where linearity, modernity and exclusivity are inseparably linked, and thanks to original details, sinuous shapes and iridescent nuances it becomes a pure and engaging visual experience.
