Carlo Colombo, author of important collections for Giorgetti, continues to share his design thoughts with the brand, a clear sign of the profound harmony that has now been created between the designer and the company: together with the architect, in 2022 the brand presents the Soho seating system and the Vibe bed.
Soho is characterised by pure shapes, rigorous volumes and orthogonal lines. An essential feature defines the seating system which, thanks to its modular nature, makes all kinds of customisation possible. The many fabric and leather options in the Giorgetti collection make each variant of the project unique; the covers are completely removable. Some elements are equipped with integrated small tables with inlaid wood or ash top. The feet, in painted metal, are embellished by the terminal in solid pau ferro: a unique, rare and precious essence from South America, as well as deeply linked to Giorgetti’s roots.
Vibe is a bed with an important presence: a sophisticated object whose elegance is enhanced by the quality of the workmanship and the raw materials, by the design and the attention to detail. “The Vibe bed partly recalls the design of the 1930s. The headboard has a band that turns as if it were a passe-partout, a work of art. It is accompanied by the round Side Vibe bedside table, which can be hooked onto the bed frame or placed on the floor. It is a poetic and romantic project, which I am very fond of,” comments architect Carlo Colombo. The collection also includes a cylindrical floor-standing bedside table. The structure is completely upholstered in leather with two tops, top and bottom, in marble or Canaletto walnut and is fitted with a drawer with sycamore interiors, the front covered in leather to match the structure. Giorgetti has designed a range of beds for mattresses of various widths, whether for the bedroom of a private residence or the suite of an exclusive hotel.
