The link between theatre and design is renewed again this season with the project entitled Un Bagno di Folla (A Crowd Bath), conceived by Giulia Pellegrino and COLLETTIVO INVƎRSO, during which the TAM Teatro Arcimboldi inaugurates the new foyer bathrooms.
Un Bagno di Folla consolidates the axis between culture and private companies that have provided skills, labour and materials for the renovation project.
Along the lines of the ‘Vietato l’ingresso’ project, where the design space was as unrestricted as possible, the realisation of Un Bagno di Folla was entrusted to the INVƎRSO COLLECTIVE: a creative ‘forge’ desired by Maurizio Di Mauro, Elena Reggiani and Paolo Tegoni, who accepted the request to give a new look to these places with an innovative and social character.
Each bathroom was furnished with high quality accessories and modern equipment, supplied by important partners in the sector. Accessories chosen to significantly reduce the environmental impact: a project developed with a view to the Arcimboldi’s ecological transition, in compliance with the sustainability report presented in July and which will see TAM as an actor and driver for the world of culture and its audience.
The revolutionary concept proposed focuses on the eccentric colour choices that become the primary and peculiar characteristic of the design.
A Bagno di Folla is a kaleidoscope of colours just as the theatre is an inexhaustible array of emotions for the audience. The design differentiates the theatre bathrooms according to the floors: coloured for the foyer and black and white for the basement.
In line with its mission to create a welcoming and accessible environment for all audiences, TAM inaugurates, for the first time in theatre, a new “genderless” bathroom, an initiative that aims to be a significant step towards inclusiveness and diversity.
