Three major design awards for Siemens Home Appliances

Siemens Home Appliances , the European leader for built-in appliances in high-end kitchens has always prioritised design excellence in the development of its appliances. That’s why it continues the year 2023 by winning three of the most prestigious design awards, the iF Design Award, the German Design Award and the Red Dot Design Awards, with no fewer than 33 of its appliances distinguished by trend-setting lines that interpret and anticipate consumer tastes.

Each Siemens appliance is characterised by its refined aesthetics, intelligent solutions and exceptional performance, which are the key factors in achieving these three major awards. These aspects reflect Siemens’ ongoing commitment to combining advanced functionality with elegant, minimalist and contemporary design to create a style that fits perfectly into any décor. In addition, the brand’s appliances reflect Siemens’ Intelligent Kitchen approach, combining design, innovative technology and connectivity. Indeed, the brand aims to make the kitchen a fully connected ecosystem that optimises daily activities, making life more sustainable and enriching it with new possibilities.

By harmoniously combining design, technology, app functionality and integration with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, Siemens provides consumers with a range of award-winning designer appliances designed to create a smart, technological and visually impactful kitchen environment.

The award-winning appliances
Siemens’ iQ700 oven range, with its sophisticated design, won the Gold award at the German Design Award and was also honoured with the iF Design Award. In addition to high-quality technology and sleek, minimalist lines, the oven range offers several special features that make life easier: for example, users can easily communicate with the oven via the Amazon Alexa voice control device or via the Home Connect app, selecting which dish they wish to prepare. The Oven Assistant will then suggest the most suitable settings or programmes and the appropriate options will be selected directly. In addition, with the help of Artificial Intelligence, the oven functions are enhanced and automated, giving the user even greater freedom of use.

In terms of design, too, the iQ700 ovens prove to be state-of-the-art: the traditional rotary knob gives way to a state-of-the-art, high-resolution TFT-Touch display, which allows soft-touch navigation on a colourful and extremely intuitive screen, from which one can access a vast group of simplified cooking options.

The refrigeration category also won both the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award with the new extra-capacity built-in refrigerator-freezers, which offer even more space to meet customers’ diverse culinary needs. Whether you want to store an extra plate of sushi, fresh fruit and vegetables or stacks of bottles, there is room for everything. For meat and fish, there is a separate hyperFresh <0°> compartment with its own cold air flow that keeps food in optimal condition for longer. Lighting also plays a major role, especially in the freezer compartment where drawers are illuminated when opened, facilitating a clear view of the contents. The refrigerators’ interior lighting is also controllable and settable via the Home Connect App, allowing the user to keep the light on even when the doors are closed to give the appliance a unique aesthetic soul even at night.
The awards presented to Siemens Home Appliances thus testify to the company’s ongoing commitment to creating appliances that elevate the user experience, enhancing everyday life through innovation and cutting-edge design.
