In the setting of the Venice Art Biennale, the new project by Cittadellarte and Michelangelo Pistoletto for Sanlorenzo was presented: the reinterpretation of the famous work “Third Paradise“.
The work, entitled Third Paradise Quick Response, was unveiled as a preview and marks the prelude to the launch of Sanlorenzo Arts Venice, a new cultural and artistic pole destined to emerge as a point of reference in the cultural panorama of the lagoon city.
Created exclusively in the Sanlorenzo shipyards, the installation is composed of three ringed circles, representing the union of opposites and the synthesis of a dynamic balance between conflicting elements, and aims to accompany humanity in the epochal challenges of the contemporary world, promoting a balanced connection between nature and artifice.
Sanlorenzo Arts Venice, which is scheduled to open in 2025, stems from Sanlorenzo’s desire to create a place that underlines the deep connection between the company and the world of art, research and creativity. The building, whose interiors are currently being restored by architect Piero Lissoni, Sanlorenzo’s Art Director since 2018, is designed to host exhibitions of art, design and architecture, offering a space where creativity is combined with innovation in the world of yachts, recounting the values and energy that characterise the world of Sanlorenzo, where art, nature and technology come together to create unique vessels, ready to chart new routes into the future of humanity.
Massimo Perotti, CEO of Sanlorenzo, comments: “The Venice Art Biennale is the perfect context to present our project in collaboration with Michelangelo Pistoletto. His artistic vision and our commitment to innovation and sustainability come together in this extraordinary installation that embodies Sanlorenzo’s core values and anticipates the launch of our ambitious Sanlorenzo Arts Venice project. We have always believed that there is an intrinsic link between the world of art and the nautical world, and this project represents our commitment to combine creativity and craftsmanship in our yachts, transforming the sea into a canvas on which to paint extraordinary experiences“.
“The Third Paradise is the transition to a new level of planetary civilisation, essential for the survival of humanity and the planet. It is the synthesis of humanity’s cultural, scientific and technological achievements, leading towards a sustainable and harmonious future“, said Michelangelo Pistoletto.
Sanlorenzo Arts Venice is thus a place where art, design, innovation and nature come together and meet, underlining Sanlorenzo’s commitment to promoting new creative languages and contributing to the production of quality culture and design.
