The Penta Light Group, led by Andrea Citterio, is expanding further to incorporate Castaldi, a historic Italian company specializing in high-end indoor and outdoor technical lighting.
This operation confirms the Group’s desire to be the point of reference for complex lighting projects capable of providing a 360° offer in the world of lighting: from the design and contemporaneity of Penta, to the great names of Arredoluce and now the technical lighting of Castaldi.
“Castaldi represents an extraordinary opportunity for the Penta Group to further broaden its boundaries in the high-end technical-architectural lighting sector, bringing a wealth of consolidated and recognized expertise in this field,” says Andrea Citterio, CEO of Penta Group. “Since 1938, when Castaldi was founded by Mr Enrico Castaldi, the company has always excellently expressed the perfect combination of innovation, product quality, and design, typical of Made in Italy.
Over the years Castaldi has collaborated with the most important international architectural firms and completed major projects of global importance such as the Abu Dhabi airport and the prestigious Cleveland Clinic“.
“The ambitions that the Penta Group has for Castaldi are high. In the coming months a significant project of renewal and relaunch of the company is expected: the explicit goal is to bring Castaldi to be a reference point for the world of high-end technical lighting in Italy and around the world” says Mr. Camarda, current CEO of Castaldi, who will continue to remain involved in the project.
“The goal is to double Castaldi’s turnover in the next 3 years“, continues Andrea Citterio. “The growth strategy includes, first of all, to take full advantage of the Group’s synergies, an important restyling of both image and product and the strengthening and consolidation of its position in international markets, respecting the tradition and values of the company“.
PENTA’s advisors in the acquisition were DENTONS and New Deal Advisors, while Castaldi retained Watson Farley & Williams and BoardWalk.
