The green SPA by Andrea Auletta

The Hotel Mioni Pezzato & SPA in Abano Terme (PD) saw a recent intervention by interior designer Andrea Auletta focused on the expansion of the SPA that will open to the public in June 2021. The design for the new SPA includes three Turkish baths, a Finnish sauna and an ice-room, which is a room with a temperature close to zero degrees with a snow shower and an ice wall. The three Turkish baths differ from each other in functionality and also in the type of olfactory atmosphere. From the outside, the structure looks like a set of cubes that fit harmoniously into the green space; a green that today is young but is destined to change over time becoming more mature and enveloping.

Inside the SPA, the materials used are travertine-effect stoneware and wood slats for the ceiling, treated to be waterproof and fireproof. To give an evocative and characteristic atmosphere of the place, two large backlit images have been inserted, to simulate respectively one of the lakes present in the area of the Euganean Hills and a flight of ducks, a typical landscape of the area. The finishings are different in each cabin in coherence with the service they offer: the salt cabin in white marble to recall the salt, the ice-room with cold white light, while the one with the glass window overlooking the garden has a honey warm light.

The windows and doors on the outside are large glass panes of very high thermal performance and with an aluminum structure that allows only the lightness of the glass to shine through. The choice of lighting technology has fallen on a very soft light that infuses guests with a sense of tranquility and comfort. The SPA connects with an area of the hotel where there is a series of pools, a mud treatment area, a massage area, a large relaxation area. A path conceived by Andrea Auletta that incorporates pre-existing elements of the Hotel Mioni Pezzato with a new sensory SPA with an innovative and luxurious design.
