Attesa, Traccia and Principio. These are the names of the new versions of Tessere, the Friul Mosaic collection, the result of Luisa Bocchietto‘s design and experience.
The three new mosaic compositions complete the collection that already included Prodigio, Viaggio and Fermento. The art of mosaic joins the ancient art of textiles in a collection of handcrafted surfaces from all points of view.
TESSERE is the name inspired by both the active weaving and the final product, consisting of the tesserae of a new mosaic.
The result of an in-depth study of fabrics and wefts in their construction and formal composition, TESSERE is inspired by the art of weaving and refers to the history of entrepreneurship in Biella, an area in which an important production of excellence has developed and the designer’s city of origin. It draws inspiration from values of craftsmanship and pure creativity.
TESSERE is particularly representative for FRIUL MOSAIC also because it refers to the fundamental element of every mosaic, namely the tesserae, 10 mm thick and hand-cut with a hammer by expert craftsmen.
