Selene is the new shower tray by Fiora, a leading Spanish company in the design of shower trays, furniture and wall panels: the collection stands out for its simple yet innovative design that combines cuttingedge techniques and sustainability in a single product. Selene received the Archiproducts Design Award 2024, an award that celebrates design that combines aesthetics and functionality.
The design of the shower tray won over the jury with its innovative integrated circular grid, which optimises water flow and gives it a unique visual impact. Made of the same material as the shower tray, this grating represents the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, a hallmark of Fiora’s commitment to conscious, detail-oriented design. The innovation of this collection also embraces the themes of sustainability: the shower tray is in fact made of a silica-free material, which guarantees safety, durability and a low environmental impact.
This is a real revolution for the industry: it completely eliminates silica in favour of natural carbonate, improving both the well-being of workers and end users. Furthermore, 50 per cent of Selene’s components are made from recycled materials, making it a symbol of Fiora’s holistic approach to responsible design. In addition to the Silica Free programme, Fiora is distinguished by a comprehensive approach to sustainability, integrating eco-friendly practices into every aspect of production and every line. The lightweight and durable Titan shower tray reduces raw material consumption and facilitates logistics. The adoption of LED lighting in furniture and mirror collections and the use of 71% recycled cardboard in packaging are just a few examples of Fiora’s efforts to minimise its ecological footprint. ISO 14001 certification further testifies to the company’s responsible approach.
