SCALIURBANI Green Edition

SCALIURBANI (scaliurbani.it) is back, the first labronic exhibition of international importance that through architectural language wants to contribute to the construction of public spaces and a quality of living involving institutions, professionals and the community as a whole. The second all-digital edition of the event, scheduled from 22nd September to 8th October on the GoToWebinar platform as part of the circuit of events promoted by the European Union, such as the Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) and the Festival of Sustainable Development by the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), will focus on these themes, in particular on eco-responsibility and sustainable development for the projects of Architecture, Cities, Territory and Landscape of the near future, which are more topical than ever given the pandemic emergency.

The internationality of SCALI URBANI GREEN EDITION is the keystone on which to build a unity of intent between professionals, institutions, businesses and civil society with the aim of improving the quality of life of people through an architecture capable of interpreting the needs – already emergencies – of our days and provide sustainable proposals, able to protect the environment and regenerate urban spaces and territories in their complex diversity.
The event gathers more than 50 participants including architects, academics, entrepreneurs, politicians, a parterre of experts from all over the world who will take turns in the rich virtual palimpsest of lectures, live talks, seminars, book presentations, round tables, a building hub that is inspired by the UN’s Strategic Agenda 2030.

The digital edition wants to be an opportunity to express again, through Architecture, a strong desire for the quality of the space in which we live“, says Daniele Menichini, president of the Order of Architects PPC of Livorno and creator of the exhibition. “Rediscovering the Architect’s cultural role and new opportunities, giving a more precise and substantial response to the environmental issue by changing the approach to the concept of design and protection of both the landscape and the environment, these are our main objectives. We must try something different without thinking that sustainability is an indication of lower quality and aesthetics for the development of the country. We must activate a cultural, social and economic revolution based on the principles of a new Green Deal“.
