The robust street elevation consists predominately of two materials concrete and glass. To the rear, the home softens to its surroundings though large floor to ceiling walls of frameless glass, welcoming in the native foliage context of the parkland situated behind the property.
Salmon avenue explores the application of one material to the nth degree, from wall to floor and even ceiling applications and then infilling the space between with glass and joinery.
This home is designed to be for the clients, a family with two young kids, a ‘forever home’ and so the home is designed to mould itself around the respective living requirements of the family as the kids grow up.
The home is split into two zones which are stretched along the site to take full advantage of the 55-metre-long block and provide separation between the sleeping and living spaces.
