At REbuild the values that generate value: VALUES DRIVE VALUE, this is the theme of the May 2024 edition.
Generating and protecting patrimonial wealth, social inclusiveness, people’s wellbeing and attention to the environment: “doing well by doing good” is the new convergence that must guide the actions of the entire construction and real estate supply chain.
It is a powerful, precise and targeted appeal that has been launched by REbuild – the Italian reference event for market makers and policy makers of sustainable innovation in the built environment – in anticipation of the mid-May 2024 appointment at the Riva del Garda Congress Centre.
A real call to action to the stakeholders of the construction and real estate sectors, capable of generating a decisive share of Italy’s GDP and, emphasises Roberto Pellegrini, president of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, whose “power to transform the current scenario into a season of lasting prosperity and renewal” would have obvious repercussions on all the country’s production sectors, and not only.
It will therefore be a solid value framework that will characterise the tenth edition of REbuild, whose title will be VALUES DRIVE VALUE: at REbuild, space for values that generate value.
Within this framework, the business model based on pure profitability will be reoriented towards the creation of a new concept of value based on principles of responsibility, reciprocity and sharing.
This is why “the transition,” is the conviction of Alessandra Albarelli, General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, “will either be right or it will not. Innovation, technological development and digitalisation are the tools available to those working in the sector. But if they are not part of a broader and shared strategic vision, they will remain isolated cases: an enormous damage for the country-system”.
Technological development in the search for solutions and materials, digitisation of design and site management processes, industrialisation and PropTech are already decisive tiles available, constantly evolving and rapidly spreading for the development of the sector.
Ezio Micelli, professor at the Iuav University of Venice and chairman of REbuild’s scientific committee, says: “We are facing an environmental and innovative challenge, but we have not yet imagined a virtuous financing scheme that could support innovations by incentivising them”.
“These,” he concludes, “must not be the responsibility of individuals, but a shared path that brings together public and private construction players. If the path is value-based and community-based, innovation works”.
With REbuild in Tour, one of the novelties of the edition now being prepared, the organisation intends not only to consolidate its community, but also to broaden the audience of interlocutors by organising opportunities to meet, exchange expertise and discuss strategies to redesign the supply chain’s behaviour.
The roadshow calendar includes a stop in Venice on 24 November with the ambassador Carlo Pagan (Founder, H&A Associati Srl – President, Mesa).
This will be followed by Turin on 28 November, with ambassador Daniele Guglielmino (CEO & Founder, GET Consulting) and the opening greetings by Daniele Russolillo (Deputy CEO, Planet Smart City).
To open the new year, on 17 January, the tour will stop in Milan with Assolombarda as ambassador.
