The Platform Tell the Project series is enriched with a new volume: ‘Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta. A project by GBPA Architects‘.
The Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) Franciacorta, with a total area of 60 hectares and an investment of 28 million euro, is the first Porsche centre in Italy and the largest in the world, in addition to those in Leipzig, Silverstone, Atlanta, Le Mans, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Hockenheim and Tokyo.
Speed, innovation and a unique and multifaceted territory come together in a project realised by GBPA Architects in collaboration with Dromo, an engineering company specialised in racetracks.
The concept of the project that characterises the interior spaces starts from a parallel analysis of the Porsche world and the Franciacorta territory, with the intention of synthesising their main values. This analysis highlights how both are linked to the values of tradition and innovation, while at the same time evoking different concepts of space, form and materials.
The aim behind this important project was to highlight these common traits, giving space to the distinctive features of each to find a balanced and unique language. The Customer Centre is undoubtedly the most iconic element of the entire centre: with the rethinking of the spatial hierarchy of the area and the construction of the new access directly from Provincial Road 16, this space is the gateway and beating heart of the entire complex. Another particularly evocative place in the PEC is the terrace that occupies the entire surface of the rooftop restaurant. From this privileged vantage point, visitors can enjoy an evocative and panoramic view of the track and the entire project area thanks to the lounge area created with Defense shade sails by Corradi.
The Porsche Experience Centre Franciacorta is a transparent, dynamic space characterised by technological materials to represent the Porsche world and a more welcoming, neutral and softly shaped space to represent Franciacorta.
